John Devaney

Mr. Devaney has more than 20 years of progressive experience leading non-profits, with almost 18 years directly in healthcare. Mr. Devaney joined Cape Fear Clinic (then known as Tileston Health Clinic) in April 2010 as Executive Director. Growing the organization from serving around 700 patients annually, CFC currently has almost 1,000 acute and chronic care patients on its daily census, and will serve close to 1,500 unduplicated individuals in 2014.
Immediately prior to relocating to Wilmington, he was Vice-President of The Lohman Group, a Washington, DC-based national consulting firm focusing on assisting non-profit and for-profit healthcare organizations create efficiencies and develop strong patient-centered programming.
As a Director of the Whitman-Walker Clinic of Northern Virginia, for more than eight years he oversaw the operations of the largest HIV/AIDS clinic in Virginia. He has also held the position of Director of Operations at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, one of the oldest pro-bono legal providers in the U.S.
He was named a finalist for the 2014 Healthcare Heroes in the Healthcare Executive category.
Mr. Devaney holds a BS in Sociology from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.

Dr. M Kent Locklear

Dr. Locklear joined our staff as Chief Medical Officer on August 1, 2015. Dr. Locklear, a graduate of the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia, is board certified in Family Medicine. Prior to joining our staff, Dr. Locklear was a volunteer with our medical program for many years. He was previously in practice with Wilmington Health.

Jennifer Askew Buxton, PharmD, CPP, FASHP

Dr. Buxton, a North Carolina native, received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a Primary Care Residency with Coastal AHEC and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She is the winner of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) Distinguished Service Award, the 2008 North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP) Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award, and the 2008 UNC School of Pharmacy Hospital Preceptor of the Year Award.
She has been awarded the 2014 Preceptor of the Year from Wingate University, the 2014 WILMA Magazine Woman to Watch Award in Healthcare, and the Healthcare Heroes Healthcare Professional Award for 2014.
Dr. Buxton has held both local and national leadership positions with ASHP, NCAP, International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and American Pharmacists Association (APhA). She currently serves as a Director-Elect for the ASHP Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners and a member of the Education Steering Committee. She has also served several terms on the NCAP Board of Directors, and has participated in both the ASHP and APhA Houses of Delegates.
A volunteeer with Cape Fear Clinic since 2003, and having served on the Board of Directors from 2006-2011, Dr. Buxton became our first staff Driector of Pharmacy in 2011. She also maintains a clinical practice in mental health and is Co-Director of our nationally recognized Mental Health Services program.
She is the author of From Student to Pharmacist: Making the Transition, published in 2010.

Gordon Boyd

Mr. Boyd joined the clinic as Business Manager in 2008. His experience includes the management of A/P, A/R, general ledger, payroll and cash management; analysis and interpretation of financial statements, development of accounting policies and procedures, budgets, employee supervision, and establishing and maintaining asset care and procedures.
Mr. Boyd brings over 25 years experience in operations and accounting. Mr. Boyd brings a myriad of experience in all aspects of day-to-day operations. As Director of Finance and Administration, Mr. Boyd manages all clinical and operational accounts, manages human resources, and assists the Executive Director in budget preparation and reporting.
Mr. Boyd holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Central Florida.

Jeanne Rose, NP

Before joining Cape Fear Clinic in January 2008, she worked in geriatrics and home health providing skilled care and as an administrator/supervisor. Ms. Rose's advance practice focus was geriatrics, which provides her a strong background in the types of chronic ailments faced by our patients.

Adam Stribling

Mr. Stribling joined Cape Fear Clinic as a volunteer in 2010. In 2011, he was named a finalist for Cape Fear Clinic Volunteer of the Year. He was hired as a staff Medical Assistant in 2012. In 2013, he was promoted to Operations Manager, where he manages the daily medical clinic operations. He was instrumental in transitioning our patient health records from paper format to electronic format.
Mr. Stribling's responsibilities include the operations of our front office and maintaining our electronic record and IT systems. His previous experience includes working in the nursing home industry facilitating patient care.

Edelma Zambrano Holmes

With over 10 years working in healthcare-related positions, Ms. Zambrano Holmes possesses a wealth of knowledge related to the prescription programs, clinical documentation, and development of bilingual documents. She is responsible for ensuring the clinic meets the program requirements of each pharmaceutical companies' prescription assistance programs (PAP). She assists in all facets of the process, from the submittal of appropriate documentation for patient participation to the maintaining of on-site records. In addition, she also serves as a clinic translator / interpreter, often assisting with patients during their onsite appointments.Her previous experience includes the coordination of Mental Health Services, creation of Mental Health assessment tools, documentation of clinical information into medical reports, and therapeutic interventions. She is also knowledgeable in PCP, LME, and Medicaid compliance. Ms. Holmes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and is a Certified Translator /Interpreter.

Aimee Youngblood

Ms. Youngblood first began working at Cape Fear Clinic in 2008 under a program administered by new Hanover Regional Medical Center. In 2012, the position became part of the staff of Cape Fear Clinic.
Ms. Youngblood serves a dual role with Cape Fear Clinic and New Hope Clinic in Boiling Spring Lakes, NC, where she is responsible for ensuring both organizations meet the program requirements of each pharmaceutical companies' prescription assistance programs (PAP).
She assists in all facets of the process, from the submittal of appropriate documentation for patient participation to the maintaining of on-site records.
Ms. Youngblood holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
